Jinbo Xu is the recipient of an award funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), in collaborative research with Dr. Tobin Sosnick (University of Chicago). The award is for just under $200,000 and covers three years. The grant is titled "Protein Structure Refinement using a Novel Moveset".

TTI-C is proud of its Ph.D. Program, designed to prepare students for academic or research careers. To complete the Ph.D. Program a student must make an original and significant contribution to the field of computer science and this contribution must be described in a Ph.D. Thesis. In addition to the Ph.D. Thesis, there are course and examination requirements for the completion of the Ph.D. Program as described in the Academic Catalog. In addition please review the programming experience requirement for the Ph.D. program.

TTI-C is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago on the University of Chicago campus and has a close affiliation with the University of Chicago Computer Science Department. An agreement between the University of Chicago and TTI-C allows cross-listing of computer science course offerings between the two institutions, providing students from each institution the opportunity to register in the other's courses.
