Faculty - Dr. Thomas Hayes
PhD - University of Chicago
Research Assistant Professor
Professor Hayes is interested in a broad range of problems in discrete mathematics, algorithms and probability theory. His most recent focus has been on online optimization, Markov chain Monte Carlo algorithms, and statistical group theory. He also has an ongoing interest in concentration of measure, communication complexity, quantum computing, and lower bounds in computational complexity.
Dr. Hayes also has a personally maintained website which can be found at http://www.tti-c.org/hayes
